Mountain Retreat

Located in a remote mountainous area, this tranquil retreat is made up of dwellings that are situated and designed to enhance the experience of an untamed natural environment. Cold climatic conditions mean that protective shelter is central to the design. As such, the dwellings allow for exposure to the dramatic surrounding context while also providing comfort from the elements through the use of efficient construction methods designed to retain warmth in winter and allow for natural cooling in summer time.
